Cathy Melton began her real estate career in 1998, when she and her husband were buying a home in Ann Arbor, Michigan (GO BLUE!) and found out the hard way, the dangers of hiring a “friend” who was just getting started in a real estate career. At risk was a hefty down payment on the home they were buying PLUS the sale of their current home. The heartache and stress this scenario caused, convinced Cathy to get her real estate license and to help other people avoid these types of near disasters.
More than 20 years later and over $100MM in sales, Cathy has continued her commitment of helping customers buy and sell their homes with the least amount of risk and with minimal stress—and with great excitement! In fact, Cathy has created her proprietary system in providing THE BEST strategy, in helping buyers and sellers achieve their goals. Part of Cathy’s success is she works directly with her clients from start to finish. Many top agents will hand off their customers to assistants—sometimes this works, but not very often—an “assistant” in the real estate business usually means a “new agent.”
As the co-Founder of a Marketing Strategy and Design Firm called MPower by Design, Cathy utilized her marketing and real estate background to help multiple companies and solo-entrepreneurs, achieve social media and customer engagement goals. She is also an Author, Public Speaker, Realtor, Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, Six Sigma LEAN, Accountant, and Little League Baseball Coach, Little League Umpire and most recently, a Parent Volunteer/Assistant Coach to the Chelsea High School Bowling Team.
Cathy currently lives in Chelsea, Michigan with her husband Brian and their son, Joe.
